Croatia

On my yearlong trip around the world, I spent several months traveling through southern and eastern Europe. Those travels took me to Croatia in the summer to visit the island of Brac for a lovely week. My friends and I then traveled on to Krka and Plitvice National parks.

Croatia is well situated in Europe, with hundreds of miles of gorgeous coastline. Dubrovnik is the most famous of the Croatian cities — this is where cruise ships dock for a day. And while the beaches are gorgeous, the national parks are also stunning, and the country's city boast a vibrant music scene rivaling any other European hotspot. I enjoyed Croatia immensely and any trip should take in the range of natural beauty on offer.
